In many cases, yes. We can arrange transport for inoperable or non-running vehicles. Carriers use special equipment to load vehicles that cannot move under their own power. Please let us know in advance if the vehicle doesn’t run so we can schedule the right truck and give you an accurate price.
To get your vehicle ready:
- Remove personal items and valuables from the interior and trunk
- Leave about a quarter tank of fuel,
- Turn off alarms and remove toll tags
- Fold in mirrors and secure or remove loose accessories (racks, spoilers, antennas)
- Check for leaks or mechanical issues
- Take clear photos of the vehicle from multiple angles before pickup
Yes. You will receive updates from your shipping specialist or directly from your driver, so you know when the vehicle is picked up, on the road, and getting close to delivery. Updates are usually shared by phone, text, or email, depending on what you prefer.
All carriers in the Full Axle network provide insurance coverage while your vehicle is on the truck. You can ask your shipping agent for details on the carrier’s policy and coverage limits for your specific shipment.
Damage during transport is rare, but if it happens:
- Note any new damage on the delivery Bill of Lading before you sign.
- Take clear photos from multiple angles.
- Contact Full Axle as soon as possible so we can guide you through the claims process with the carrier’s insurance.
Booking about 1-2 weeks in advance usually gives you the best mix of price and schedule flexibility. If you need your car moved sooner, let us know. We can often explore expedited options depending on your route and carrier availability.
